• Decorating Outdoor Nooks

May 17, 2020

My husband loves to pick up gazing balls and other random decorative accessories that just sit outside on our patios. We have several nooks in the two patios we have at the lake. The space is so big that it needs something to cozy it up and make it feel homey.

He had this table made from antique railing that matches the railing on our deck and topped it with limestone that just gets better with age. Heavy to move though! We are pretty much known for displaying concrete statues of a classical look like this one.

And this vintage anchor and nautically netted glass balls are quite fitting decor for the lake. We use our newer anchor on our boat a lot for parking at Party Cove in the summer! When you need an anchor, it's indispensable!

And this is one of my favorite cozy spots on the patio! Stuck right in the corner of the winding antique railing and original stone steps, I like using these batik pillows from Nell Hills store in Kansas City to soften the look. David put a collection of vintage gazing balls on the marble table for interest. These colors always look great in the summer and go great with our bunting, which is up from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend.
