• Cheerful Holiday Front Door for Boys Home

December 07, 2019

Front doors can be challenging at Christmas.  Especially when they're painted a spirited shade of orange!  But I was excited to bring some holiday cheer to the boys at the Boys Hope Girls Hope Kansas City home, and HomeGoods Overland Park was a great decor destination.  I found this green plaid ribbon that was so fitting for a group of boys, ages middle school through high school, and the color and natural tones of the garland worked well.

Large pinecones with a lightly flocked garland added some nature to the decor for the house, which is located on the edge of a wooded area.

I love the rustic lanterns on the front of the house that was specifically built for the purpose of housing several underprivileged young students who are excited to learn and succeed in the world.

This nature-themed wreath at HomeGoods Overland Park was so great and I just added the green plaid and gold ribbon to tie it in with the front door decor.  There are deer around the boys' home from time to time, so it seemed fitting.  Thank you to Prairie Fire Overland Park for partnering with me on decorating Boys Hope Girls Hope KC! What a fun project.
